Message From the General Secretary

Welcome to the Y&M AKI College

Dear Students and Faculty

t gives me great pleasure to share that we have successfully completed yet another year marked by significant growth, diversification, and an unwavering commitment to delivering high-quality educational services and capacity-building programs for orphans and under served communities. Our ongoing compassion for orphans has driven us to expand our intake capacity from 1,000 to 1,500 children, by incorporating a new orphanage in Rajewadi. We remain deeply committed to caring for these children, ensuring they receive quality education from kindergarten through post-graduation and skill development courses, empowering them for a brighter future. Inspired by the National Education Policy that aims to increase higher education enrollment by 2035 and establish India as a global hub for education, Anjuman Khairul Islam (AKI) has embarked on an ambitious journey to expand its influence and impact. We have already launched three degree colleges, with several others in development. Moreover, we’ve established AKI Global in the United Kingdom to drive international collaborations and enhance our global footprint. In line with our global ambitions, AKI’s Post Graduate Institute, the Poona Institute of Management Sciences and Entrepreneurship (PIMSE), has signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Harvard Business School Publishing Corporation. This ground-breaking agreement marks a significant step forward in AKI Global’s mission to raise academic standards and establish itself on the international stage.
Further more, three of our high schools have received recognition in Maharashtra’s “CM Majhi Shala Sundar Shala” initiative, which encourages greater responsibility and engagement among teachers, students, & parents in making schools better learning environments. I urge our teachers and staff to foster an atmosphere where students not only come to school or college to learn but feel that these institutions are safe, joyful, and nurturing spaces where they can explore, grow, and thrive. This is the kind of environment we must strive to create every day. A sense of belonging is not only essential within the walls of our schools but is vital to preparing our students for life. Our education institutions must equip young people to find their place and succeed in an increasingly complex and ever-evolving world. The children starting school today will enter a workforce that will look vastly different from what we know now. Their future careers will be shaped by artificial intelligence and quantum technologies. They could be part of ground-breaking advances in life sciences or pioneers in advanced manufacturing. Globally, we must ensure that students’ opportunities remain expansive, not limited. We should leverage every tool at our disposal to provide high-quality education that prepares young people for success, both up to the age of 18 and well beyond. Our strength lies not only in the depth of our knowledge but also in the breadth of opportunities we provide.
